Swift recovery of stolen goods

A 35-year-old male was due to appear in the North Shore District Court on Saturday to face a raft of charges associated with a number of burglaries in the Warkworth and Wellsford area.

Warkworth and Wellsford Police executed a search warrant at a local address last Friday after receiving a complaint about a burglary at a construction site, where a shed was entered and a portable generator with GPS was stolen.

Police searched the address and located the generator, as well as a recently stolen caged trailer valued $2500 from another burglary. A digger and trailer, which was reported stolen from the North Shore Area on Thursday, was also located.

Police says the offender was in the process of removing all the panels off the digger to be painted.

As a result, police were able to swifty return three lots of stolen property from three different burglaries.
