Warkworth Rackets recently wrapped up another thrilling season of the Bayleys Business House Competition.

During the tournament two raffles raised a combined $880 for the Warkworth Mahurangi Community Trust.

The funds will go towards building a basketball pad and hoop at Mahurangi Vineyard Church, providing a safe and fun space for local youth.

The club thanked Bayleys in the North for its continued support as naming sponsor. Bayleys’ community give-back scheme sees $1000 donated to Warkworth Rackets for every property sale it refers – a partnership that has had a real impact.

Warkworth Rackets also celebrated the recent success of its premier ladies midweek team, who secured a hard-fought victory in the North Shore ladies day midweek inter-club competition for the 2024/25 season.

In a nail-biting finish, the Warkworth premier team edged out rivals Northcote by just one point to take out the top spot in their division.

The victorious team was made up of Penny Smith, Kat Kayll, Keiko Pogoni, Sarah Platts-Mills, and Robin Denton – all of whom demonstrated outstanding skill, consistency and team spirit throughout the season.
