Auckland Council is investigating a dog attack at Te Arai that happened on Sunday December 7. A boy was flown to Starship Hopsital by the Auckland Westpac Rescue helicopter in a moderate condition.

A fallen tree on power lines caused a major power outage in Mangawhai on November 28. The incident left more than 1700 Northpower customers without power for four hours.
