Land use and development rules set for review

Landholders in Kaipara will soon learn if there are any zoning changes proposed for their land. Kaipara District Council approved the Proposed District Plan (PDP) on March 26, a document which sets out how land can be used, subdivided and developed. The plan will be released for public comment on Monday, April 28 and public submissions will be accepted up until June 30. Council describes the new plan as “simple and enabling” which aims to remove red tape, provide opportunities for growth and balance the need to protect Kaipara’s special places.
