One of Northland’s most exclusive coastal properties has sold for more than $40 million, with Bayleys Real Estate confirming the sale of the sprawling Andersons Cove estate north of Auckland.
The 48ha beachfront compound at 101 Bream Tail Rd, between Mangawhai and Langs Beach, sold on Saturday — less than a month after hitting the market and two weeks before the offer deadline.
Previously owned by late Kiwi entrepreneur David Nathan and his wife Pamela, the luxury estate features multiple high-end residences, landscaped grounds, native bush and direct beach access.
According to OneRoof, the property is believed to have fetched over $40 million, before the sale deadline.
The beachfront compound is spread over 48 hectares and is home to a collection of luxury residences situated amongst landscaped gardens, manicured lawns, native bush and rolling pasture. The residences include the four-bedroom primary home designed by acclaimed New Zealand architect Andrew Patterson, the Potting Shed that is rented out for $3250 per night to mainly overseas visitors, Clifftops Lodge and The Boatshed.
Located between Mangawhai and Langs Beach, it is 25 minutes from Te Arai and Tara Iti golf courses.
Bayleys salesperson Duncan Ross told OneRoof a property of this calibre in this position is very rare.
“You’ve got riparian rights and direct access to effectively your own private east coast beach, along with the 48 hectares that come with it. I haven’t come across anything like it myself, it’s phenomenal.”
The confirmed sale price has yet to be officially released.
