The electrical engineering company Electrix has secured a two-year lease on the former Atlas site, next to the Warkworth Showgrounds, on State Highway 1. The Rodney Local Board last month supported a Panuku Development Auckland decision to finalise a contract for the lease, which will start on October 1. The site is currently vacant after the lease to Northpower expired on March 31. Electrix, which is owned by the French company VINCI Energies, will use the site as a works depot.
