Warkworth Community Shop has a new scheme, whereby shop volunteers get the chance to donate $500 of the money raised in the shop to a cause of their choice.
Among the first to take advantage was volunteer Carol Henderson, who opted to sponsor a seat in the Warkworth Town Hall and support ongoing improvements at the hall.
“I’m so passionate about the Town Hall – look what has happened to it. It’s fabulous,” she says.
Warkworth Town Hall Restoration Trust chair Peter Henderson says around half a dozen seats are still available to be sponsored in the dress circle. To sponsor a seat, phone Peter on 0274 776 519.
