Professor of War Studies at Massey University Glyn Harper is seeking images for a book he is compiling about New Zealanders in World War II.
It will be a sequel to his highly regarded Images of War, which brought together almost 1000 photographs of New Zealanders in World War I and was published in 2008.
His latest book will also be based on the archives of the armed forces and other institutions.
While compiling the previous book, Professor Harper was amazed at the quality and quantity of photos in private collections, and he is keen to explore what might be available for this new publication.
