There are new plans for the piece of land next to Gulf Harbour Country Club where a developer once planned to build a 200-room hotel and 45 homes.
That proposal never eventuated and the land, on the corner of Pinecrest Drive and Gulf Harbour Drive, was sold to Prosperous Developments in 2013.
It will now be developed into 49 new lots.
Consent was granted for the subdivision in 2014, but it is only recently that the developer has begun preliminary survey work.
This follows the granting of an extension to the resource consent timeframe. The consent is now valid until next August.
The site is zoned for medium-high intensity residential development and Lots in the three-stage development range in size from 150sqm-519sqm.
Prosperous Developments’ sole director is Barthold Cleverley of Auckland.
