It was Jonny Chapman with a speech on soap who snatched first place at the Primary Inter-school Speech Finals last month.

The Snells Beach student came out on top in a unanimous decision, after combining great content with a well-rehearsed delivery. He was up against 13 other children from Warkworth, Matakana, Kaipara Flats and Horizon School.
