Orewa Principal Gregory Pierce has today resigned from Orewa College, after just three years in the job.
In a message to parents, Pierce says he is resigning, effective at the end of this school year, “with significant mixed feelings”.
“The college and community will be difficult to leave, but I am proud of what we have achieved over the last three years,” he says.
Pierce, who is also current president of the Auckland Secondary Schools Principals’ Association, has accepted a job as Executive Principal at Brisbane State High School, which he begins next term.
