Summerset falls resident Ambrose Palatchie, 75, shows off his moves at the Summerset Fun Open Day gymkhana for mobility scooters on October 2.

Contestants were obliged to perform figure of eight turns, parallel parking and emergency braking.

Ambrose says he has only been driving the scooter for about a week. He still has his driver’s licence so can get around in a car, but says it’s impossible to find a park in Warkworth.
