After a stellar season, the Hibiscus Coast Raiders premiers fell at the last hurdle and went down 22-20 to a motivated Otara Scorpions side in the rain at Trust Stadium on Sunday, August 17 for the 2025 ARL Sharman Cup Grand Final.

Ball retention was the problem in the big hits and wet conditions. Otara dominated in this area and led 16-4 at the break. Raiders struck back in the second spell with three tries to grab the lead. The heartbreaker was a try near the posts, levelling the score and a simple conversion to take the Sharman Cup back to Otara. 

Nonetheless, it was an outstanding season for the club from the U6s through to the Premiers.
