The Port Albert Fishing Club is holding a King’s Birthday Fishing Competition on the Kaipara Harbour, on Saturday and Sunday, May 30 and 31. Fishing will start at 6am on Saturday and finish at 2pm on Sunday.

Competition prizes include first, second and third for snapper, kahawai, gurnard, trevally and kingfish, as well as spot prizes. All fish must be weighed gilled and gutted.

The entry fee is $25 for members and $40 for non-members, and entries are available at www.sporty.co.nz/portalbertfishingclub or at Homegrown Accountant, 151 Rodney St, Wellsford.
