Silverdale junior rugby has completed one of its most successful years, with one of the J3 teams being crowned champions in the New Zealand Junior Rugby Festival in Taupo recently.

The tournament, held on September 21–24, attracts over 100 teams from across the country, and the Silverdale J3 team completed the 3-day tournament in top place beating Kumeu 24-5 in the final.

In what was an extremely successful season for junior rugby at the Silverdale club, the J3 grade took home the North Harbour winners trophy, as did the J4 and J2 teams.
