Sports organisations in Mahurangi are encouraged to apply for a slice of $13.6 million available through Auckland Council’s Sport and Recreation Facilities Investment Fund.
Applications close on January 29, next year.
The money is earmarked for building or infrastructure work.
The last funding round saw a broad range of projects funded, from tennis court upgrades to new lights for a netball centre and a community hub redevelopment at a surf lifesaving club.
The fund is contestable and open to non-council organisations for significant facility development.
