The Mahurangi East Tennis Club recently received $10,000 from the NZ Community Trust to help meet the costs of buying and installing floodlights and glare shields.
The grant was one of 18 made across Auckland, totalling just over $346,000. Other recipients included the Graeme Dingle Foundation, which received $33,000 for 10 Kiwi Can leaders, North Harbour Rugby Union received $180,000 for salaries and North Harbour Softball Association received $20,000 for an electronic scoreboard.
The funds are part of the proceeds raised from gaming machines.
