Point-to-point speeds cameras paying off

The point-to-point speed cameras on Matakana Road are close to Clayden Road and near Wright Road.

NZ Transport Agency (NZTA) has started fines using the new point-to-point speed cameras on Matakana Road, activated on December 1. It says the cameras are slowing drivers down on the 80km an hour stretch. NZTA head of commercial transport regulation Tara Macmillan said there had been an increase in the number of vehicles travelling within the speed limit on Matakana Road since starting communications and enforcement.
