Learn about the practical steps landowners can take to support local biodiversity and how everyday actions can help strengthen habitats for native wildlife.

The morning will feature:

• Insights from the Rodney Pekapeka Project and what we’re
learning about native bat presence across the region
• Practical advice on creating your own backyard wetland
• Information on kiwi avoidance training and protecting our
precious kiwi
• Trap maintenance support and TrapNZ troubleshooting
• Opportunities to connect with local conservation experts and
community members
• A chance for the kids to meet Awhi, The Forest Bridge Trust’s
kiwi mascot
