Community groups, heritage organisations and local initiatives can apply for funding through two Auckland Council grant programmes now open for the second half of the year.
The Regional Historic Heritage Grant Programme is offering grants of up to $50,000 to help preserve significant heritage buildings and historic sites across the region.
Individuals, iwi and Māori groups, community groups and trusts can apply from July 20 to September 14.
Priority areas include conserving regionally significant and at-risk heritage places, including those affected by climate change, and supporting kaitiakitanga of Māori cultural heritage.
The Hibiscus and Bays Local Board has also opened the second round of its 2026 local grants, providing funding for arts, community, environmental, event, heritage, sport and recreation projects.
Applications close on September 4, with decisions expected on October 27.
The grants aim to support projects that strengthen local communities, protect heritage and encourage participation across the Hibiscus and Bays area.
