Anyone thinking of holding a community event should check in with Auckland Council to see if it qualifies for a grant in the latest round of regional events funding.

Events that showcase the region, build regional pride and identity, inspire a sense of community belonging and stimulate economic activity are eligible.

Application must be submitted by Sunday, June 30. For information on events that would qualify and how to apply, visit https://tinyurl.com/event-fund
