Matakana Coast Tourism (MCT) has appointed Meg Eriksen as its new manager, replacing Gregg Anderson, who has been in the role since July 2022.
Eriksen was previously fundraising, marketing and community manager with the Matakana Coast Trail Trust, organising a range of activities and events to promote and progress development of The Coastal Trail regional cycleway.
She has also recently worked with the Matakana Community Group, conducting community research on the future of Diamond Jubilee Park, home to the local pony club and a new pump track currently under construction.
The MCT board said her achievements with The Coastal Trail had been “outstanding”.
“We look forward to Meg bringing that same energy and expertise to MCT and accelerating the momentum we are currently experiencing,” they said.
