Profile
The Hibiscus Coast Singers is a mixed-voice choir of between 35 and 50 singers – ranging from young choristers to people of a mature age.
We have a large repertoire of choral music of varying styles and periods – ranging from religious works (often at Christmas) to operatic, light classics, folk songs and carols, etc.
The choir performs two concerts per year, one at Christmas and on mid-year. Occasionally, we use the services of professional soloists and instrumentalists, and have also commissioned various works from well-known NZ composers, including David Hamilton and John Wells.
Our rehearsals usually start about 3 months before our next concert which we hold on a Monday evening from 7.30 – approx 9.45pm.
Our concerts are usually at Red Beach Methodist Church, Red Beach Road, or St Stephen’s Anglican, Stanmore Bay.
