Crowds gathered in their thousands in Warkworth’s town centre on Saturday July 4 for the annual Festival of Lights, which organisers describe as one of “the best ever”.
Rides and attractions were busy all afternoon and evening, food trucks and hospitality venues did a roaring trade, and the ITM Parade of Lights turned the town into its own winter wonderland.
Peter Buckton took home the $500 shopping voucher from Pak’nSave, Warkworth Menswear won the $500 Mitre 10 voucher for its window lights display and the Warkworth Fire Brigade Vintage Engine won a $300 dining voucher, donated by Aqua Water, as the winning float in the parade.
