The 23rd annual Mangawhai Garden Ramble enchanted hundreds of visitors over the weekend of November 7 and 8.
Eighteen local gardens participated in this year’s event, including 11 first-time entries, several seasonal favourites and a few returning after a long hiatus. And there was plenty to see, from stunning designer beds, sweeping manicured lawns and serene spaces to tranquil forest walks, alluring hidden paths and whimsical fairy nooks.
Ramblers also enjoyed educational planting presentations at Black Swamp nursery, PlantHouse, alongside art displays and places to picnic.
Running since 2002, the Ramble is Mangawhai Kindergarten’s major fundraiser and this year the ramblers raised over $9000.

The event was generously supported by the community, including new primary sponsor New World Mangawhai, The Real Team from Barfoot and Thompson Mangawhai, and a long list of local businesses.
