Anyone looking for last minute stocking fillers are being encouraged to drop into the inaugural Waipu Christmas Market on Sunday December 21, from midday to 6pm.
Organisers say more than 170 stallholders have already booked a space, ranging from crafts, fashion and jewellery to homewares, outdoor furniture and plants. They are promising plenty of festive atmosphere, tasty food and entertainment.
“We will also have a few themed activities on the day, including opportunities to take some photos with Santa Claus and The Grinch, a wishing well to send your letters to Santa and gift wrapping services,” a spokesperson said.
“And if you haven’t managed to grab one yet, St John’s will be selling real Christmas trees.”
The market will be held at the Caledonian Park and Celtic Barn on Main Street. No dogs.
