Flapping excitement for local rare bird

The tara iti, or fairy tern, has been nominated for Bird of the Year and locals are being encouraged to get behind the nomination and vote.

The Endangered Species Foundation has teamed up with the Bird Cage Tavern, Garage Project, McLeod’s Brewery, Save Our Sands Mangawhai Pakiri and the New Zealand Fairy Tern Trust to support the nomination.
