Children using the playground in Shoesmith Reserve will have better protection from the sun in future.
Auckland Council has installed two shade structures – a custom-designed double-axis cover measuring 77 square metres and a cantilever, star-shaped structure measuring 36 square metres.
In total, they will provide about 130 square metres of shade. The project cost $97,500.
