This Christmas season, Matakantata is bringing you Christmas Songs from around the World. Check out the languages we will be singing to bring you a song from each part of the globe.
Puerto Rican; Spanish; Chinese; Korean; Hawaiian; Tagalog (Philippines); Zulu; Latin; and Maori. Oh, and English! Most of the songs only have a couple of sentences or phrases in another language, and the rest in English. We will also be singing two songs by Beethoven – Canon of Joy, and Joyful, Joyful.
Bring along a native speaker of these languages and see if we pass the language barrier. We are excited to see how we do!
Concerts are in the usual venues. Matakana Hall on Friday November 27th at 7.30pm and Warkworth Town Hall on Sunday 29th November at 4pm. Tickets are available from Hart Pharmacy, Warkworth and Gull Service Station, Matakana. Tickets will also be available from the door or from Humanitix, Christmas around the World
