Fight The Tip Music Festival

Get ready for an unforgettable night of live music, good people, and a cause that matters.

Join us at Warkworth Town Hall on Saturday, 23 May 2026 from 4:00pm for the “Fight The Tip Music Festival” — a high-energy evening bringing together great local talent and a passionate community.

Enjoy performances from four outstanding local bands, plus special guests all the way from Auckland, The Bobby Holidays. Plus we’ve just had it confirmed that Brian Jones and Andrew McLennan of ‘The Exponents’ and Harry Lyon of ‘Hello Sailor’ will be joining us, these three have been playing a few gig together recently – watch this space.

Our four excellent local bands & singers etc are: B & D, Felicity, Little Creatures, Yeah Nah, Fred Renata & The Garden Party, Melina Mieneke, Trinity Croul.

Musical Director; Mr Clyde Tukaiora Connell: Video Projection; Mr Bruce & Leon Ferguson of ‘The Dark Room’; Front of House; Maury Purdy.

The format for the show that Clyde has laid out, means there will be no big gaps between band during the change overs, there will be something to please the eyes and the ears !!

There’ll be food trucks on site to keep you fuelled, so come hungry and settle in for a full night of music and connection.

This event is about more than just a great time. For seven years, the Fight The Tip team have been working tirelessly on behalf of the North Rodney community. This festival helps support ongoing legal efforts — including the upcoming Appeals Court case alongside Forest & Bird — to challenge the proposed landfill project.

All musicians and support workers are generously donating their time, and proceeds from ticket sales go directly toward covering legal costs etc. When you buy a ticket, you’re not just attending a festival — you’re backing a community effort.

Come for the music. Stay for the cause. Be part of something that matters.

Proudly Sponsored by: Tahi Bar, Voted NZ’s Best Music & Hospitality Bar. Plus all the musicians who are giving their time and great music.
