Get TicketsHow we understand and manage the Whangateau Harbour edge matters for wildlife, water quality, shoreline resilience, access and the wider harbour.
This community workshop will bring together coastal science, engineering, local knowledge and community experience to explore how the harbour edge is changing, the role of habitats such as saltmarsh, mangroves, seagrass and wetlands, and the benefits and trade-offs of different shoreline management approaches.
The session will include expert presentations, Q&A, panel discussion and facilitated community conversations, led by experienced environmental facilitator Annette Lees.
For anyone who cares about the Whangateau Harbour, the workshop aims to build shared understanding and explore the potential for a community-led approach to caring for the harbour edge.
