Suddenly in Charge Workshop

SUDDENLY IN CHARGE

A skills and confidence-boosting workshop for local boating crew.

What would you do if you were suddenly in charge on the water?

Suddenly in Charge is a short, hands-on workshop offered by local Coastguard for local boating crew, to build confidence, skills, and connection on the water.

This short workshop is for you if:

  • You’re often on the boat yet your partner, parent, or whānau member is usually at the helm
  • You want to know what to do if things go pear-shaped
  • You’d like to feel calmer, safer, and more capable on the water
  • You want to learn in a fun, supportive, interactive environment

You’ll gain:

✔ Essential boat-handling & safety know-how
✔ Practical guidance for emergency situations
✔ Confidence to step up if you’re suddenly in charge
✔ Connection with your local Coastguard Unit people
✔ Space to share stories, laughter, and learning

💛 Cost: koha
