Residents looking to explore natural approaches to health and wellbeing will have the opportunity to do so this spring when the Wellness Hub hosts a series of Holistic Health and Wellness Open Days.

Sessions will be held at the Warkworth Masonic Hall from 11am to 2pm on Saturday, September 5, October 3 and November 21.

Visitors will be able to meet local practitioners, ask questions and experience a range of natural therapies in a relaxed and supportive environment.

Free mini therapy sessions will be available, with donations welcomed.

The Wellness Hub brings together practitioners from a variety of disciplines, including chiropractic, osteopathy, bio-energy field and magnetic healing therapy, holistic counselling, breathwork, Bioptron light therapy, the Bowen and Emmett techniques, reflexology, kinesiology and restorative sound therapy.

One of the main organisers, Pamela Harland, said the Wellness Hub has welcomed many local residents since it was established four years ago, helping people find therapies suited to their individual needs.

“It’s a great place to try a therapy you’re interested in and see whether it works for you,” Harland said. “We want to help people find ways to manage stress, anxiety, pain, grief and other health challenges in an empowering way, alongside their medical treatment.”

Founded by local health and wellness professionals with a shared passion for holistic wellbeing, the Wellness Hub describes itself as a movement that promotes better health, stronger community connections and a more proactive approach to wellbeing.

Through a focus on prevention, education and empowerment, the organisation aims to help people take charge of their health in a natural and sustainable way.

People can also become a Friend of the Hub to receive updates on local events and access discounts on therapies.

As a not-for-profit community initiative, the Wellness Hub also welcomes donations to help cover its operating costs.
