Grow a mo for men’s health

From thick walrus whiskers and the bold handlebar to the classic chevron and the Hulk Hogan horseshoe, moustaches of all shapes and styles are making a comeback this November – and it’s not just for fun.

Movember is here and it’s calling on the men of Warkworth to grow a mo and get behind the movement.

Every moustache grown is a symbol that sends the message, men’s health matters.

Homebuilders coordinator Quentin Jukes says awareness campaigns like Movember are invaluable because they shine a spotlight on men’s mental and physical health.

“We totally support that. Absolutely. It’s great to see,” he said

What started as a simple idea in Melbourne in 2003 has since grown into a worldwide phenomenon tackling some of the biggest health issues facing men today – prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention.
