A Community Health and Wellbeing Seminar will be held at the Wellsford Community Centre on Sunday June 28.
The event is being organised to bring together local clinicians, health professionals, wellbeing providers and community organisations with the aim of strengthening community health, education and connection.
An organiser Boone Daniels says it will provide residents with an opportunity to hear directly from trusted professionals across a wide range of health and wellbeing fields with a focus on preventative wellbeing, improving access to local services and encouraging stronger community support networks.
A broad range of clinicians and health practitioners are expected to attend.
Organisers are inviting businesses, organisations and community groups to support the kaupapa through sponsorship, donations, resources or partnership opportunities.
“Support could include financial sponsorship, food and refreshments, printing and advertising assistance, equipment or venue support, gift baskets or spot prizes, or volunteer help,” Boone says.
“This seminar is being organised voluntarily with a strong focus on community wellbeing, accessibility, and positive local engagement.
“Any level of support would be genuinely appreciated and would help contribute towards creating a meaningful and beneficial event for the wider Wellsford community.”
All sponsors and supporters will be acknowledged and recognised for their contribution.
