Mangawhai Lions has won a prestigious global accolade, the Lions International Marketing Award. Selected from hundreds of applicants from around the world, the Mangawhai club won the award for its “exemplary marketing innovation and creativity”, which saw membership grow from five to 22 in one year. Club marketing coordinator Mandy Hebben says heightening the club’s visibility also helps to inspire change and increase the impact of club projects, which benefit the community. Along with the award, Mangawhai Lions was also awarded $3374.40 to continue its marketing and service efforts.
