Auckland Mayor Wayne Brown was conspicuous by his absence at the mayoral candidates meeting in Warkworth Town Hall last Wednesday, September 10. One Mahurangi manager and MC Murray Chapman told the disappointed audience that despite Brown indicating he would be attending, on the day he decided against it after “receiving threats”.
