The uncertainty around Covid-19 alert levels has prompted the postponement of the annual Pink Ribbon Appeal in the Warkworth area, which would normally take place this month.
Area coordinator Shona Pickup says often up to 50 volunteers are involved in appeal activities and she is concerned about their safety should the Delta variant still be circulating.
She hopes to be able to run the local appeal early next year.
Money raised for the Breast Cancer Foundation NZ is used to support people with breast cancer and fund education programmes.
