Warkworth police officer Katie Burton and Warkworth Lions member Carol Henderson were the guest speakers at a sellout Pink Ribbon Brunch held at the Warkworth Town Hall on May 18.
The event was organised jointly by Warkworth Library’s Katie Mitchell and town hall manager Alex Hayward.
MC was Wendy Douglas and entertainment was provided by the Jade River Ukes and Aysha.
A total of $3200 was raised, which will go towards breast cancer education, research and patient support.
Hayward says next year’s event will be held on May 7.
