“Despite two recent knee replacements, Margaret was determined to play her part in a community beach clean-up that was organised following an extreme weather event in Snells Beach. Margaret loaded up the basket of her big blue tricycle ‘Betty’ with cold drinks and handed them out to the helpers along the length of the beach, who were very grateful. She also raised more than $3500 for a community defibrillator, which was installed near the beach, after going door-to-door asking for donations. To top it off Margaret liaised with the local fire brigade to provide two training sessions for locals on how to use the defibrillator.”
