Junior Surf lifesaving scholarships open

Ōrewa Surf Life Saving Club and Milldale have launched a scholarship programme aimed at promoting water safety and strengthening the Ōrewa Surf Lifesaving Club Junior Program.

The scholarship’s core mission is to encourage youth participation, bring new families into the club, and develop an understanding of water safety among local children, the club said.

One scholarship recipient represented Ōrewa at ‘Oceans’, the New Zealand National Competition which attracts the top young surf athletes throughout the country. 

Applications for the 2025-2026 Season Milldale Scholarships are now open. For more information email admin@orewasurfclub.org.nz
