Overnight road closures planned for Silverdale

State Highway 1 between Oteha Valley Road and the Silverdale interchange will close overnight for three nights this month while maintenance crews carry out road resurfacing work.

The northbound lanes will be closed from 9pm to 5am on Monday 13, Tuesday 14 and Wednesday 15 July.

During the closures, motorists will be detoured via Oteha Valley Road and Dairy Flat Highway. There will be no access to bpConnect Dairy Flat while the work is underway.

NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi said nearby residents may experience increased noise as crews complete the maintenance.

The work is weather dependent, with a contingency night scheduled for Thursday 16 July if required.

Motorists are encouraged to check the latest travel information before setting out.
