Job Opportunity: Part-Time School Caretaker (12 Hours p/w)

Are you a “jack-of-all-trades” looking for a rewarding role that serves the community? We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time Caretaker to help our school shine!

As our Caretaker, you are the guardian of our school environment. Your mission is to keep our premises safe, clean, and well-maintained. This is a hands-on role covering everything from minor repairs and gardening to security checks and health and safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities
– Property Maintenance: Handling minor DIY fixes, painting, and general repairs

– Groundskeeping: Keeping our gardens, paths, and play areas tidy and hazard-free

– Health & Safety: Identifying risks, managing the maintenance register, and overseeing contractors.

– Security: Ensuring the school is secure, particularly with thorough weekly checks of alarms and locks.

A vital part of this role is supporting the Special Christian Character of our school. We are looking for someone who will take pride in our environment in a way that reflects our values.

– You are handy with tools and take pride in a job well done.
– You work well independently and can spot what needs doing before being asked.
– You are committed to maintaining a safe, welcoming environment for our learners.
– You are supportive of the school’s Christian ethos and values.

Hours: 12 hours per week (2 x 6 hours a day) (schedule to be discussed)

Please note this is School Term Time only (with occasional paid work required in the school holidays, arranged with prior notice). Rate: between $27 – $30) per hour dependent on experience.

Location: Horizon School, 20 Goodall Road, Snells Beach, 0920.
