We are looking for a skilled and experienced Sheet Metal / Welder Foreman to lead and manage our fabrication team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sheet metal fabrication, materials, and safety protocols, as well as proven leadership abilities.

As a Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing fabrication and welding operations, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

You will also play a key role in training and mentoring team members, maintaining equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of the sheet metal fabrication and welding team.
• Ensure all welding work meets quality and safety standards.
• Plan and schedule welding tasks to meet project deadlines.
• Inspect welding equipment and ensure proper maintenance.
• Train and mentor team members to improve skills and efficiency.
• Monitor inventory levels of welding materials and tools.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to meet project requirements.
• Enforce compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

Requirements:
• Proven experience as a welder and in a supervisory role at least 5 years.
• Strong knowledge of welding techniques, materials, and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in welding.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Relevant certifications in welding or related fields are a must.

This position is full time, Monday to Friday, mostly based in Warkworth / Kaukapakapa shop, however occasionally you will be required to work on site projects.
