Wellsford School has been hit by unexpected problems with school renovations.
A hall upgrade has ground to a halt after contractors and engineers found borer in much of the structure.
The school is working with the Ministry of Education on the next steps, the school told parents in its recent newsletter.
The renovations and plans for more classrooms are part of improvements at the school to accommodate growth in the area, which recently saw the roll reach 400 students.
