Police are appealing for witnesses to a fatal crash involving two vehicles near Uretiti just before Christmas.

The incident occurred around 12pm on December 23 on State Highway 1, Uretiti.

Two occupants died as a result of the crash. Police are trying to piece together the events that occurred leading up to the accident.

Anyone who saw the crash is urged to contact police on 105, quoting file number 211223/3317.
