Northland farmers will get a mix of weather forecasting and practical lessons in resilience at a Kaipara Flats event on September 29.
Whatever the Weather, hosted by Rural Support Trust Northland and Beef + Lamb New Zealand, will feature meteorologist Chris Brandolino and stroke survivor and ultra-endurance runner Mark Ford.
Brandolino will provide a seasonal outlook, including drought risk, rainfall patterns and practical advice to help farmers prepare for the months ahead.
Ford will talk about rebuilding his life after a stroke and the lessons he has learned about resilience and recovery.
The event starts at 5.30pm and will also provide an opportunity for farmers to connect with others in the rural community.
