Lions contribute to surf club rebuild

Mangawhai Lions handed over a $20,000 cheque to the Mangawhai Surf Lifesaving Club on May 14, the proceeds from the recent Food and Wine Festival. Along with the $8500 raised from the sale of the Lions 2025 calendar, the Lions have donated just under $30,000 to the surf club rebuild and general operation costs. Surf club chair Jess Costello says the fundraising was incredible and the Lions support was very much appreciated. Mangawhai Lions thanked everyone for contributing to the fundraising by purchasing a calendar and attending the festival, with a special shout-out to all sponsors.
