The Waipu Scottish Migration Museum will be in good spirits this weekend when it hosts a gin tasting evening at the Heritage School on Friday night (December 5), starting at 7pm. The evening is being held in partnership with the Waipu Liquor Centre, with gins curated by Hancocks. Several whiskey tastings have already been held, but museum manager Sandra Mckay says that it was decided that with summer and warmer nights coming, it would be a good idea to host a gin tasting instead. “These are fun nights with accompanying music and plenty of food to go with the gin.”
