Butchers meet demand

Meat lovers once again have the chance to buy steaks, sausages and smallgoods from their local community butchers, following a government decision to allow independent butchers, bakers and greengrocers to make home deliveries during lockdown.

While their shops must remain closed, most local meat purveyors have jumped at the chance to resume some sort of service and supply customers direct, using phone or email orders, online shopping and contactless delivery.

The following butchers are those advertising a delivery service and/or we could make contact with as of Wednesday, April 8. If there are others, please let us know.
